Our professional logistic team has years of experience in frozen food distribution. Frozen food distribution requires a series of uninterrupted refrigerated transportation, cold storage and reefer distribution logistic supports to extend the shelf life of the food products. Different type of food has different storage temperature requirements. For example, frozen meat must be stored at -18℃ while vegetables and fruits can be stored at 0℃ to 12℃. We have to arrange appropriate storage facilities to fit the storage temperature requirement for each type of food product. Moreover, different market segment requires different level of cold logistic supports. To facilitate timely delivery to retail customers, grocery stores and restaurants, the Company is going to invest in its own refrigerated trucks and reefer warehouse or collaborate with experienced logistic company to handle the delivery of the retail or catering orders. No matter which direction we choose, our logistic team still plays the role of monitoring and organizing the daily delivery route and schedule so as to maximize the delivery capacity and coverage during the delivery peak hours.
In fact, the cost of cold chain logistics for temperature-sensitive foods is very expensive. In Dec 2015, the Company had started its own cold storage operation with storage capacity of more than 100 reefer containers in Yuen Long. Our cold storage experts monitor the in-and-out and record the temperature of each reefer container and make sure that the required storage temperature will remain after 24 hours of freezing. This in-house cold storage operation has successfully saved the Company’s cold storage cost by more than 30%.
